Court Houses are places that generate immense interest among people. When there is a sensational case, the media and people look at the courts for the verdict because the verdict will create ripples all over the world. Phoenix Arizona court house is one such place. The Sandra Day O’Connor Federal Courthouse, Phoenix is the winner of the 2000 Design Architecture Award winner. It is an example of the federal government’s part in coming up with a destination building for people. This Phoenix, Arizona courthouse is owned by the General Services Administration, which has a multifaceted role as the government’s landlord and supervisor of the budget on behalf of the tax payers.
The working Hours of the Courthouse are 8am to 5.30pm and the Clerk’s Office Hours are from 8.30am to 5pm. One interesting aspect is that there is no parking for public available at the courthouse. Limited parking is available across the street. Private parking lots and garages are available on hourly/daily rental basis. The project to come up with a new building was mooted in 1993. Begin your visit Phoenix tour with the great city as the hub to make day trips to the great outdoors and if you are adventurous enough, to stay overnight at one of the many campsites. One can make day trips to the Sunset Volcano / Wapatku National Monument, very close to Flagstaff with incredible sunrises. Useful resource: Phoenix hotels. One visit Phoenix option is a drive through the Grand Canyon, drove through the Sonoran National Monument and the Organ Pipe National Monument; to Chiricahua National Monument it would be a fantastic drive with hiking trips. Take the Peralta Trail onward to the Fremont Saddle, which overlooks Weaver's Needle. On our trip we saw several families and many with teenage children. It will take about 4 hours for the round trip. The hike rewards one with several beautiful scenes, waterfalls, saguaro cacti, and amazing rock formations. It will be held at South Mountain Community College’s Performing art Centre from February 17th to February 20th. Though a film festival empowering the Black Community and their arts, this event attracts film buffs from all over who would like to see Afro-American movies as a sub-sect of the international movie communion in general. Internship is going to be awarded to promising and emerging film makers of this minority.
Arizona Renaissance Festival is a peep into the past. It takes one into 16th Century Europe. It will take place between February 5, 2005 and March 27, 2005, where England monarch of the yore, King Henry is shown along with his musicians, consorts and so forth.

Phoenix, from its humble beginnings in the 1860s and 1870s, continues to grow and attract more and more people to its fold. It has a booming tourism industry, thanks to the availability of affordable air conditioning and transportation facilities, which continues to grow from strength to strength.
Phoenix is the city which went into ruins around 700 AD before being inhabited again. Just as the phoenix rose from ashes, Phoenix, Arizona rose from ruins to become a bustling and a booming City in the Southwest of the United States. The city continues to grow attracting more and more settlers. It has many tourist attractions. A unique ecosystem, considered to be the second most diverse system of its kind in the world, surrounds Phoenix. The desert and its influence on its inhabitants of the past and present can be learnt from a trip there.
Downtown Phoenix can be visited on foot and it has a number of attractions to offer. The Heritage Square and the historic Teeter House, the Phoenix Museum of History and St. Mary’s Basilica are some of the important places to see. | Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa: A brief History |

Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa is a major attraction of Phoenix and is popularly known as “The Jewel of the Desert”. The hotel was opened in 1929 and since then it has maintained its excellent service. The design for the hotel was originally made by Frank Lloyd Wright. In 1930 William Wrigley, Jr who was one of the investor in the hotel became the sole owner for Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa. Useful resource: Phoenix hotels
Wrigley owned the property for 44 years. In 1973 the Biltmore was sold to Talley Industries. Talley Industries closed the hotel for renovations and in record 82 days a new look of the Biltmore was created. A 90 room paradise wing was opened and a 120 room valley wing with 39,000-square-foot Conference Center. The major renovation task continued from 1973 to 1987.
In January 1998, 20,000 square foot Arizona Biltmore Spa was opened which hosted spa, fitness center and beauty salon. A large swimming pool was also created with 734 guest rooms which makes it the largest resort in Arizona.
During all this renovation process one point was kept in mind and i.e to preserve the architectural integrity of the place.
